Sunshine Coast
Our Sunshine Coast Psychology Clinic offers therapy, assessments, and dedicated paediatric support. We create a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment, taking the time to understand you as an individual and provide care that reflects your needs, strengths and goals.
Therapy
Our psychologists provide a safe, supportive space for adults, adolescents and children, using evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT and play-based therapy. Each session is tailored to your goals and individual needs. Our Sunshine Coast therapy is currently available via telehealth, giving you access to our wider psychology team without waiting for one local clinician.
Assessments
Our clinicians provide assessments for ADHD, Autism, Learning, IQ and Cognitive Function, Memory as well as Functional Capacity Assessments, Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Support Funding Recommendation Reports. We support all ages and backgrounds, from paediatric to adult, with clear, inclusive reports and practical recommendations.
Paediatric
Through Hively Bumblebees, our paediatric team supports children and adolescents with emotional wellbeing, learning, development and behaviour. Our child psychologists provide thoughtful, evidence-based support tailored to each child’s strengths and goals, working closely with families, schools and community supports across the Sunshine Coast.

Psychology appointments on the Sunshine Coast are currently delivered by telehealth. In-clinic psychology sessions at our Minyama rooms open from late 2026.
If you prefer face-to-face, we can start with telehealth now and transition you into the Minyama clinic when in-clinic psychology opens.

Our Sunshine Coast psychology team is led by Alana Hawkins, General Psychologist and Clinical Team Lead at Hively Health. AHPRA registered and working across both our Brisbane and Sunshine Coast clinics, Alana provides therapy, assessment and diagnostic services across the lifespan, including paediatrics. Her approach is LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming, and it shapes how our whole team works.

We are here to support you
Our clinic is at Ground Floor, 1/15 Nicklin Way, Minyama QLD 4575, a few minutes from Kawana and around fifteen from Maroochydore. The clinic currently offers psychology appointments via telehealth, with in-clinic sessions opening from late 2026.
Private paying clients do not need a referral and can contact Hively Health Sunshine Coast directly to book.Â
However, your GP can provide a Mental Health Treatment Plan that allows Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.Â
NDIS participants, support coordinators, GPs and other professionals can refer through our online referral form.
Our psychologists draw on evidence-based approaches such as:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT),
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR),
- and play-based therapies for children.

Our team includes general psychologists, clinical psychologists, child and adolescent psychologists, and behaviour support practitioners. We welcome all genders, sexualities and cultural backgrounds, and work closely with GPs, schools and NDIS providers to ensure holistic care.
Yes. Our Sunshine Coast psychologists can provide assessments, treatment plans and reports for Workcover claims and workplace psychological injuries, helping clients return to work safely with the right support. You can read more here.
Yes. Through Hively Bumblebees, our paediatric psychology service, we support children aged 1–16 years. Our dedicated child psychologists provide therapy and assessments in a playful, calming clinic space designed to help little ones feel safe and supported.
We work collaboratively with our referrers, including medical professionals, allied health, schools and government agencies. This includes Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, GPs and schools for therapy and diagnostic assessments. We work closely with Guidance Officers in a number of public and private schools to provide both government and school funded assessments.
