What is Positive Behaviour Support?

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is a person-centred, evidence-based approach focused on improving the wellbeing of individuals through proactive, respectful strategies. PBS seeks to understand the reasons behind behaviours of concern and replace them with positive alternatives that support independence and engagement in daily life.

At Hively Health, we use PBS to create plans that are collaborative, goal-driven, and designed to reduce restrictive practices.

Our Positive Behaviour Support Services in Brisbane

We support individuals across the lifespan, tailoring our approach to meet each person’s unique needs, preferences, and goals. Our Brisbane-based PBS services include:

Person-Centred Approach

We work closely with the individual and their broader support network to fully understand their needs, goals, and the best strategies to help achieve positive outcomes.

Tailored Assessments

We work closely with the individual, their family, and support network to understand the function of behaviours and develop strategies to support each individual. We also provide comprehensive assessments for those seeking to have PBS funded in a NDIS Plan.

Behaviour Support Plans

Our NDIS-compliant behaviour support plans are clear, practical, and include proactive strategies to address behaviours of concern, as well as responses that reduce the use of restrictive practices.

Ongoing Monitoring & Collaboration

We provide regular reviews, updates, and collaboration with your broader support team to ensure plans remain effective and responsive to evolving needs.
